WASTED DEGREES BREWERY
Pitlochry, Perthshire
Construction commencement 2024
A new brewery building designed by Eòlas Architects for Wasted Degrees Brewing, situated in the heart of Pitlochry.
Two pitched roof forms on the site of a former timber sawmill are connected by a flat-roof link, which hosts the entrance area and helps to reduce the overall massing. The flat roof portion protrudes outwards to signify the main entrance, with its canopy providing shelter and its roofline replicating the line of the adjacent escarpment. The proposed building is sheltered by the topography, set between trees and a natural quarry within the existing landscape.
Two half-glazed gables distinguish the street-facing brew hall and the southeast taproom, forming a sheltered L-shaped courtyard in between for the outdoor seating area to occupy.
