MAINS OF TAYMOUTH COTTAGES

Located on the northeastern shores of Loch Tay, the Mains of Taymouth Country Estate occupies the northern bank of the River Tay. The proposed cluster of four new homes populate an infill site between the B-listed coach house in the west and leisure lodges to the east.

The homes form a pinwheel arrangement on the site, with four linear 1.5 storey dwellings referencing the adjacent coach house extension in form and materiality. The development is anchored around the free-standing B-listed chimney to the west, creating a streetscape which enhances contemporary living and respects its history.

Two different house types are provided, each treated with stone and timber cladding, featuring gables and dormer windows directed towards key views across the wider estate and the Tay valley beyond.
