CALA NA SITH

This bespoke 3-bedroom house sits on the south side of Loch Rannoch, with a cantilevered full-height living area offering seamless views over the loch and valley beyond.

The existing house was small and dated, clad in horizontal timber with a tiled roof, and unsuitable for the client’s requirements. The project involved a re-design of the house previously consented to suit the further requirements of the client. The roofline was amended from a valley to a hipped roof, with the roof over the kitchen area lower than that of the rest of the house. The eaves level was raised to create a more usable space on the upper mezzanine floor, allowing the bathroom to be moved upstairs to reduce the overall length of the building.
