ANNEX EXTENSION

The project features a new annex extension to an existing bungalow by Loch Rannoch. The site is located in the centre of Kinloch Rannoch, approximately 18 miles west of Pitlochry and on the banks of the River Tummel.

The existing house is an L-shaped pitched roof bungalow with a detached garage to the southwest. Our proposal retains the existing L-shaped building, with the new extension added to the northwest to form a return. The client will enjoy a large open-plan kitchen / living / dining area below a roof-lit vaulted ceiling.

There was a distinct focus on materiality, in respecting the local vernacular and complementing local farm buildings, with vertical larch and thermopine cladding, and a corrugated metal roof.
